Please help my charity

devil
Am still rather daunted by my new job - which necessitates doing everything and anything with no staff, in 3 days a week. So this is my plea for help, prompted by the wonderful Flannelcat, who already did it on my behalf the instant i started wingeing today...

Two main pleas - one for volunteers - people who could make a regular committment to help us (arround 4 hours a week for each role below, though more is also possible) - can either be from home, or we have space in the office. The second is more of a "once off"

Number One:

http://www.maternityworldwide.org/

Maternity Worldwide, a Brighton based charity, that funds maternity projects all over the world are looking for volunteers (an IT assistant web/graphics assistant, volunteer press officer faith groups liaison officer in particular, as well as people to get involved in fundraising but many others, too.)

If you know somebody who would, quite simply, like to be a small part of changing the world for the better, then please get in touch: Lucy@maternityworldwide.org

Number Two:

mainly for Brightonaughts.

We're having an office clearout - either Monday or Friday next week. I'll supply those that help with Booze and/or chocolate. If you can help let me know which day works best and we'll decide accordingly. Looking at starting arround Lunch and will continue into early evening - so post work joining in is also possible....

Even if you can't help out. (And you really could, if you think about it.) then please propogate this message.

Many thanks.

Well I'm still MORE than willing to pick up any admin stoofs and basic design work that you need doing.

Not sure how much I can do. I won't be online much for a few weeks until we get all the house stuff sorted. Once I'm sorted with the move I'll see if there's anywhere I can help out (what does the press officer do?).

Also, *hug* you'll be fine, all is good, yay new job.

I *may* have just found a press officer - however support on that side from another part of the country could also help. Press officer is mainly writing press releases and trying to get journalists (all kinds of media) interested in us.

Let me know when things are less hectic for you.

I'm not sure what my Monday looks like right now, but whatever time I have either afternoon or evening I will happily come and give you a hand. It will no doubt be a change from the Theatre madness.

Let's talk over the weekend. Hugs
